A sensory Christmas by the Bay
If there’s just one place to appreciate the splendours of Christmas this season, it has got to be at Singapore’s luxurious waterfront – the Marina Bay.
Themed “Christmas Alive at Marina Bay”, the waterfront arena truly comes alive with dramatic art, light and musical installations. With a focus on nurturing young artistic and musical talents and fund-raising charity events, these year-end celebrations are brimming with meaningful activities in the spirit of the season.
And how could we forget the famous icons associated with the wintery tale? From the famous Helix bridge, Millenia Walk, One Fullerton Clifford Square, One Raffles Quay and to the Singapore Flyer, catch the multi-sensory reindeers thronging the streets.
Hop over to either Suntec City Mall to enjoy the serenading Choir Christmas Tree, The Esplanade to admire the Art Installation Hollow Tree or the Marina Square to take a whiff at the Cone Trees displayed. Or simply just take a wonderful evening stroll under the twinkling fairy lights and snowflakes along thoroughfares of Raffles City, Millenia Walk, the Singapore Flyer and The Fullerton Hotel.
Alongside these creative festivities and fund-raising charity events, Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS), an effort by the local Christian community, will also be putting up their own yuletide performances mainly during the weekends at four locations –Marina Square, The Flyer, Suntec Singapore and One Raffles Quay.
And on the 24th of December, don’t miss out on the two-hour special by a 60 strong international choir group, right on the steps of Marina Square Shopping Mall.
