Visual Art Trails – Civic District

Telling stories from days of yore

If you’re after a journey to learn more about Singapore during Colonial times, be sure not to skip the Civic District Art Trail. Discover the origin of significant monuments and memorials around the historic seat of power, an area which is home to many national institutions. Remember those who suffered in World War II at the Civilian War Memorial by local architect Leong Swee Lim and the Cenotaph by renowned architect Denis Santry, and the Former Supreme Court, designed by Frank Dorrington Ward, with its Corinthian and Ionic columns.
