Singapore Cruise Centre@HarbourFront is located within an integrated waterfront development with myriad tourist destinations at its doorstep. Situated next to VIVO City, one of the largest shopping malls in Singapore, the Singapore Cruise Centre is also positioned directly across Sentosa Island—home to Resorts World Integrated Resort, a theme park, wildlife reserves, gardens and adventure rides. On top of a Regional Ferry Terminal (RFT) that has six berths, the International Passenger Terminal (IPT) has two deep harbour berths catering to over 25 international passenger cruise lines. Officially opened on 18 June 1992, it was the first dedicated cruise terminal in the region. As a world-class cruise terminal, the IPT has won 19 efficiency awards since 1997.
Singapore Cruise Centre@HarbourFront was one of the first passenger terminals in the world to be International Ship & Port Security Code compliant (since 1 April 2004), and ISO 9001 certified (since April 2005).
