Singapore remains a safe destination. There is no travel restriction by World Health Organisation (WHO) to Zika-affected countries.

Larger than life

At The Podium Lounge, the race party action takes a spin of its own — in a superb way.

It’s all about over-the-top glamour — think roving acrobatic acts, live headline performances and an A-list crowd that hails straight from a celebrity mag.

The glitz starts from the ground up. Held at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, directly across from The Paddock Club, — the Grand ballroom is transformed into an ultra-chic lounge, complete with VIP balcony suites and a jaw-dropping overhead catwalk. The nightly Fashion Circuit sees international models strutting across the iconic runway wearing acclaimed Singapore label ZENCHI; famous for dressing British supermodel Naomi Campbell, amongst others.

Fancy some music? Podium Lounge has got that covered, too. The spectacular opening party on Friday,16 September, welcomes British superstars Me & Mrs Jones, with pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor on vocals and Richard Jones supporting on the decks. Mark Doyle, the creator of Hed Kandi and the Fierce Angel Collective, will return to deliver another rousing performance on Saturday,17 September, with live entertainment including ‘Fierce Diva’ Soraya Vivian on vocals. Those with a ear for instrumentals won’t want to miss London’s most sought-after celebrity saxophonist Emma Frampton and Cuban percussionist Pablo Calzado on the drums.

And on Race Night, Grammy Award-winning singer Estelle will be giving the party a turbo boost. Known for her mega-hits ‘American Boy’ with Kanye West and ‘One Love’ with David Guetta, the British star will get the party started with a potent playlist of hip-hop and soul. Then, lose yourself in the visual spectacle of LED laser lights, stilt walkers and aerial acrobats with roving hoops and silks.

Rounding up the creative spheres of fashion and music is art. World famous artist Kumari Nahappan's paintings and sculptures will be exhibited, while famous speed painter Armin Flossdorf demonstrates his fast-paced acrylic and pencil-work prowess in true race spirit.

The Podium Lounge's Year 8 celebration promises to be a phenomenal high-octane party over three nights of this year's Grand Prix Season Singapore.  General admission is SGD 188 in advance, while tables range from SGD 1488 to SGD 28,888.
