One Stop, Non Stop

With a stellar line-up of fast cars, blockbuster concerts and glitzy parties, the Grand Prix Season Singapore made another memorable run in 2015.

Held from 11 to 20 September, the annual racing season welcomed scores of partygoers and visitors to the 2015 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, alongside an eclectic range of off-track entertainment.

The special golden jubilee edition of this year’s race also saw Singapore playing host to a global audience with a blitz of performances by local and international acts, sharing the festive fun with all Grand Prix attendees.

The Need for Speed

The world’s only FORMULA ONE night race saw many spectators at the Marina Bay circuit to see top-ranking drivers race across thrilling twists and turns. On the final night, Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari emerged victorious as the first to reach the finish line.

Fist-pumping music acts went on after the racing, where headlining acts Bon Jovi, Pharrell Williams and Maroon 5 took to the stage. Greeted by enthusiastic fans bopping to every beat, the international stars gave all they got with their chart-topping hits and charismatic performances.

The post-race celebration continued at the glitzy Podium Lounge and Amber Lounge annual parties as well as other haute nightspots in town, attended by celebrities from the region and beyond.

Eat, shop, explore

Off-circuit, the jubilant mood continued as visitors dined, wined, shopped and partied their way throughout the week.

Besides eating as the locals do at hawker centres, foodie travellers also supped on gastronomic feasts while sipping chic tipple at restaurants such as Bacchanalia, The Black Swan and Artichoke.

Of course, no cultural excursion would be complete without a trip to the National Museum of Singapore, for a rich retelling of local history. Another hot favourite was the Singapore Art Museum, which was visited by art lovers in town for the racing week. This year, culture fans can look forward to viewing the huge collection of modern South-east Asian and Singapore art at National Gallery Singapore
