Add that arty sizzle to your trip, by planning your vacation around Singapore Art Week 2016. Held from 16 to 24 Jan, the Singapore Art Week will bring together enthusiasts from all over the world.

From huge art fairs, gallery openings to art walks, there are plenty for the art aficionados to see at museums, art precincts and buzzworthy venues.

To amp up the excitement, special exhibitions and inspiring talks will also be held during these nine eventful days.

Arts, Alive!

Make the most of your time here by checking out works by artists from the region and beyond. Start by exploring the sprawling fairgrounds of Art Stage Singapore, now into its sixth edition this year. While you’re there, you might just bump into the who’s who of the art world.

It’s a diverse lineup of exhibitions during art week, with a good mix of works exhibited by local and international artists. The spotlight is on Singapore visual artists Jane Lee and Tang Da Wu, thanks to their solo exhibitions at Singapore Tyler Print Institute and the National Gallery Singapore.

The art frenzy doesn’t stop there. Visit Gillman Barracks to gallery hop and see the Joan Jonas: They Come to US without a Word exhibition at the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore. Hang out ‘til late to join the afterhour revelry at Singapore Art Museum’s 20th Anniversary & Late Nights and Aliwal Urban Arts Festival.
