Christianity in Asia: Sacred Art and Visual Splendour
27 May - 11 Sep

Discover the fascinating story of the spread of Christianity across Asia at the Asian Civilisations Museum. While Asian Christian art has been a bonafide artform from the 13th to 20th century, this exhibition’s primary focus is on artefacts from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.

Amazing works of art from Portugal, France, Italy, Hong Kong and the Philippines reveal important cross-cultural links in the history of art and religion. Learn how Eastern techniques were often intertwined with Western ideas, and harmonised in the form of paintings, carved ivory figures, ceramics and furniture.

This exhibition is especially not to be missed as many objects exhibited are sacred curios seen for the first time in Singapore!
