Early Chinese Newspapers in Singapore (1881–1942)
28 May - 9 Oct

Curating more than 100 images and artefacts, the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall charts the evolution and development of the Chinese press in Singapore.

Learn about Lat Pau, the first Chinese daily in Singapore, as well as the enterprising individuals involved in shaping Singapore's Mandarin publishing world from as early as the 1800s.

This exhibition will be supplemented by special public talks (from 29 May to 3 September) that offer thoughtful meditations on the business of media, and the advertising and marketing strategies back in the day to increase readership.

More information on ticketing and the exhibition can be found on the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall website here: www.sysnmh.org.sg
