ESPA

This luxury destination spa located on resort-island Sentosa speaks of top-notch facilities, with an authentic Turkish hammam – Singapore’s first – that comes with oversized rain showers and a steam room; outdoor onsen-style and vitality pools set in a lush garden; and a yoga studio and gymnasium.

It offers an extensive selection of treatments, from massages to facials, but if you can’t decide which treatment to go for, reserve a two-hour ESPA Time session, and leave it to your therapist to customise a plan for you. Or go all out for ESPA’s Lifestyle Retreat packages, which include massages, scrubs or facials; spa meals; and unlimited access to spa facilities.

There is, for example, South Korea’s leading skincare and beauty brand Sulwhasoo, which has opened a Sulwhasoo Facial Studio, offering facial treatments using products made from Korean medicinal herbs.

But if a crowning glory is what you are after, head to hair salon UrbanHair Ginrich Aveda with its range of services from hairstyling to hair and scalp therapy.

Spa Esprit at Dempsey

Not your typical wellness destination, Spa Esprit is housed in one of several former army barrack blocks tucked away in a pocket of green tranquillity just off the busy Orchard area.

At the spa, you can choose from a range of cheekily named treatments such as Pore Loser, a facial to shrink your pores; Vampirella Wrap, a hot body mask containing garlic to break down cellulite; and its Classic Scentsational Massage, a muscle-rejuvenating treatment using a combination of Swedish, Hawaiian and Indonesian strokes and a blend of 19 aromatic oils.
