The Grand Prix Season Singapore 2013 got off to an exhilarating start, where everyone could “Live Louder Than Life” with cutting-edge lifestyle events that kept the adrenaline pumping round-the-clock!
There was Bed Invasion: 50’s Miami White, where the famed Bed Supperclub brought the glitz of 1950s Miami to the sandy shores of Sentosa. Renowned French private art museum Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris presented a pop-up exhibition of great masters like Rembrandt, Picasso and Modigliani. Sizzling hot after-parties Amber Lounge and The Podium Lounge took race-goers and celebrity guests like David Beckham, race drivers and supermodels from Paddock to party. For the indie crowd, there was Hidden Finds, a special edition of Public Garden’s unique alternative to big-box retail that showcases quirky artisanal brands from Singapore.
Guests also soaked up breath-taking views of the iconic Singapore cityscape from rooftop bars such as 1-Altitude and KU DÉ TA, while those looking for an elegant mix of fine dining and colonial architecture found Bacchanalia at the Masonic Hall. Over at The Old Parliament House, Olivia Cassivelaun Fancourt served sophisticated race-themed concoctions designed exclusively for the season.
Within the Circuit Park, spectators were wowed by an exhilarating spectacle. 2013 saw Sebastian Vettel claim his third consecutive victory in front of a sold-out crowd at the FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, his roaring engines followed by heady performances from superstar headliners like Rihanna, The Killers, Big Bang and Justin Bieber!
